It's the first day of Paris Fashion Week, and the Fashion Month marathon is slowly coming to an end. The street-style crowd in Paris always gives us something to hope for: new silhouettes, a sense of ease, and a whole lot of chic. Maybe it's because PFW has some of the most-watched shows — like Balmain, Vetements, and Céline — but there's definitely a sense that even the models take their street-style sense more seriously in Paris.
The Golden Peacock Award today goes to i-D magazine's fashion editor Julia Sarr Jamois — because no one could pull off an oversize pink puffer like she can. An honorable mention goes to our very own Cathy Horyn and her Thom Browne puppy bag, because it's the coolest accessory we've seen on the streets in a while. Check back tomorrow for the next day's winners, and don't forget to follow @thecut on Snapchat for live reports from the scene.
